If You weren’t in the packed room at our office meeting last week… you were one of the only few! The room was packed with agents keeping current. Here’s what you missed:
We’re #1 in North America! In a letter from Budge Husky, we have been informed that we are #1 for an office our size (under 100 agents) in NORTH AMERICA! Ultimate Service® works, and huge congratulations go out to all of you for your hard work and professionalism!
Kyle Eisenhut has joined the team. I first met Kyle years ago, and on seeing him again, was impressed with his professionalism. He wanted to move to Coldwell Banker because of the strong brand recognition, and we are glad he’s here. You’ll see him at future education sessions, as those were missing from his previous office culture, and he really has been asking the right questions. Welcome to our work family, Kyle!
Some dates to remember:
Thursday, November 13 is the Central Zone AGM at the Hotel Eldorado. Cathy says they are looking to fill some positions on the board. It’s usually a pretty short meeting, and then you get a great chance to be social and enjoy some time with your colleagues.
Friday December 5 is going to be a lot of fun! First off, there is the OMREB Christmas Luncheon at the Capri Hotel. You’ll have a chance to go home and change before you pull out your dancing shoes, because we’ve booked Ran Berry again for our Christmas Party. We’ll have the legendary Kelowna Golf and Country Club dinner, followed by some dancing and fun. Watch for more info on all three of these events!
CREA Call to Action
The Home Buyers’ Plan helps first time home Buyers afford a home. Your Buyers are likely some of the over 2.6 million Canadians who have withdrawn up to $25,000 from their RRSP’s under the HBP to put toward their first home purchase. Unfortunately, inflation has caused the HBP to effectively loose value every year. Today’s home buyer receives over $1,500 less value than a home buyer in 2009. By 2020, the gap will widen to $5,000. This fall, REALTORS® can take a stand to ask government to stop the erosion of the HBP by adjusting its withdrawal limit to inflation. There are 109,000 REALTORS® in Canada, and we have a voice.

The agents who attended Gen Blue Hollywood were asked to share something they learned. As well as hearing about what FUN they had, we learned that many different topics got covered! Everything from contact management, texting as a way to get a high response from your sphere, building your confidence like a muscle and personality profiling so that you can service your clients the right way were items that came up. I talked about the upcoming session on my top 15 Gen Blue Take-aways. It seems like we got your attention, as the Thursday session was full to the rafters!
REMINDER, Building Effective Files
Don’t forget that Susan will be conducting a Session on how to keep great files this Thursday, October 30th at 1:00pm. Be there if you want to know how to protect yourself by keeping diligent records!
We Wore Pink
Even some of those who don’t own pink dawned the color for breast cancer awareness on Friday. It was nice to see all of the support… even from the guys! Wish I could have gotten everybody together to take a photo, but it’s really hard to get you to sit still in this market!
